Inside the Hangzhou International Expo Center, a crowd gathered around a precision scale model of a Raymond mill. Engineers from Nantong Liyuanheng Machinery Co., Ltd. were explaining its energy-saving principles in detail, while calcium powder company representatives from across the country nodded in agreement.
“Our ultrafine grinding technology can reduce energy consumption by more than 15%, with fineness that remains stable and can be adjusted freely,” the booth lead from Nantong Liyuanheng Machinery Co., Ltd. told visitors. At the 2025 China Calcium Powder Industry Summit, this equipment manufacturer from Jiangsu became a focal point.
01 Industry Summit
Calcium-based materials are the “industrial staple” of modern manufacturing, widely used in plastics, papermaking, coatings, rubber, and many other sectors. In recent years, as environmental requirements have tightened and industrial upgrading has accelerated, the calcium powder industry has faced a shift from primary processing toward higher-value, precision-oriented production.
Against this backdrop, the 5th China Calcium Powder Industry Summit 2025 was held under the theme “Innovation-Driven, Leading the Future of Calcium—Building a New Ecosystem for the Calcium Powder Industry,” bringing together industry experts, scholars, and enterprises across the value chain.

Unlike previous editions, this year’s summit placed special emphasis on green and intelligent transformation—precisely the direction Nantong Liyuanheng has been focusing on for years.
02 Technical Foundation
Nantong Liyuanheng Machinery Co., Ltd. is not a newcomer. As early as April 2025, the company participated in the 4th High-Value Development Exchange Conference for the Calcium Carbonate Industry held in Chizhou, Anhui, showcasing alongside many leading enterprises.
Focused on R&D and manufacturing of powder processing equipment, the company understands the pain points and requirements of calcium powder production. From traditional Raymond mills to modern ultrafine vertical roller mills, Nantong Liyuanheng’s product portfolio covers every key stage of calcium carbonate processing.
In response to increasingly stringent environmental standards, Nantong Liyuanheng’s R&D team innovatively integrated a high-efficiency dust collection system with the main grinding unit, keeping dust emission concentrations far below national limits.
This breakthrough is one of the key reasons the company drew significant attention at the Hangzhou summit.
03 Product Showcase
At the summit, Nantong Liyuanheng’s booth design reflected a fusion of industrial engineering and aesthetics. In the center of the display area, a scaled Raymond mill model ran slowly, with a transparent housing enabling visitors to see the grinding process inside.
Core Exhibit 1: High-Efficiency, Eco-Friendly Raymond Mill System
Designed specifically for ground calcium carbonate (GCC), this system adopts a multi-layer grinding chamber with classifier linkage technology to achieve multi-function integration in a single unit. Compared with traditional equipment, it reduces energy consumption by 15%–20% and delivers a more uniform particle size distribution.
Core Exhibit 2: Ultrafine Vertical Mill Production Line Model
To meet high-end market demand for nano-grade calcium carbonate, Nantong Liyuanheng presented a complete ultrafine vertical mill solution. The system can stably produce ultrafine calcium powder and satisfies requirements for premium applications such as plastics and coatings.
Core Exhibit 3: Intelligent Control System Demonstration Platform
An interactive screen on-site demonstrated the company’s latest remote monitoring and intelligent diagnostics system for grinding equipment. Through a mobile app, customers can view operating status in real time, receive maintenance alerts, and even conduct remote fault diagnosis.
04 Technical Exchange
Beyond the product display, Nantong Liyuanheng’s technical team actively participated in summit forums. At the sub-forum “Innovation in Ground Calcium Carbonate and Breakthroughs in Equipment Technology,” a senior engineer delivered a presentation titled “Practical Applications of Intelligent Grinding Equipment in High-Efficiency Calcium Powder Production.”
The presentation shared successful case studies from multiple calcium powder producers. In a project for a large calcium company in Jiangxi, a full equipment upgrade increased capacity by 23%, reduced energy consumption per unit by 18%, and raised the product pass rate to 99.2%.
These data-driven results generated strong interest among attendees. After the session, representatives from several calcium powder manufacturers approached the team to discuss potential equipment upgrades.
05 On-Site Engagement
On the second day of the summit, Nantong Liyuanheng’s booth remained busy. A manager from a calcium powder producer in Guangxi arrived with samples and asked: “We currently produce 400-mesh GCC, but demand for 800-mesh products is growing quickly. How feasible is it to retrofit and upgrade our existing equipment?”
After carefully reviewing the samples and asking about current equipment parameters and production data, the technical manager provided a detailed plan: “By replacing the classifier and optimizing the grinding chamber structure, you can upgrade the product while retaining the main unit. The retrofit takes only 15 days, and downtime can be limited to within three days.”
This kind of tailored solution is a core strength of Nantong Liyuanheng. Rather than selling standardized products, the company emphasizes customized services based on each customer’s operating realities.
A small testing zone was also set up on-site to provide free testing and analysis for customer-provided calcium stone samples. During the summit alone, the team tested samples for more than 30 companies and established preliminary cooperation intentions.
06 Industry Insights
Through in-depth discussions with experts and enterprise representatives, Nantong Liyuanheng gained a clearer view of industry trends.
On one hand, environmental pressure continues to increase, with many local governments imposing stricter energy consumption and emissions requirements on calcium carbonate producers. On the other hand, high-end applications are expanding, with nano calcium carbonate in biodegradable materials emerging as a key industry focus.
These trends are directly reflected in equipment demand. Traditional low-cost, high-energy-consumption machinery is gradually losing competitiveness, while efficient energy-saving, intelligent-control, multi-function systems are becoming increasingly favored.
In an interview during the summit, Nantong Liyuanheng’s Sales Director noted: “We can clearly feel changes in customer priorities. In the past, companies mainly cared about price and capacity. Now, more and more are asking about energy consumption data, automation levels, and environmental indicators.”
07 Outlook for Collaboration
The summit served not only as a showcase stage but also as a starting point for partnership. During the event, Nantong Liyuanheng reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple parties, including:
- In-depth discussions with a new materials company in Zhejiang on a nano-calcium production line construction project;
- Providing a comprehensive equipment upgrade plan for a traditional calcium powder producer in Anhui;
- Exploring joint development of a next-generation dust removal system with an environmental equipment supplier in Shandong.
Notably, the company also connected with university research teams and plans to pursue industry–academia–research collaboration in ultrafine powder preparation technologies. Such cross-sector cooperation will inject new momentum into product innovation.
At the summit welcome banquet, Nantong Liyuanheng’s General Manager stated: “China’s calcium powder industry is at a critical stage of transformation and upgrading. Equipment manufacturers have both the responsibility and the capability to provide technical support. We will continue increasing R&D investment and work with industry peers to jointly promote high-quality development of the calcium powder sector.”
Outside the Hangzhou International Expo Center, dusk was falling, yet Nantong Liyuanheng’s booth remained brightly lit. After the last visitors left, the team began organizing the business cards and requirement notes collected during the exhibition—more than 150 potential customer leads, over 30 specific technical consultations, and seven deeper cooperation prospects.
This was more than a successful trade-event outcome; it was a snapshot of the calcium powder industry’s broader transformation. As environmental standards rise and demand in high-end markets grows, companies like Nantong Liyuanheng—committed to technological innovation and energy-efficiency improvements—are positioning themselves at the forefront of industrial change. The summit may have concluded, but the journey toward high-quality development in the calcium powder industry is only just beginning.
