Powering Up Central Fujian: Nantong Liyuanheng's 1750 Raymond Mill Arrives in Sanming

Green mountains and clear waters run through the heart of Fujian. Sanming, a city renowned for its ecological heritage, is now writing a new chapter in the deep processing of non-metallic minerals. Backed by abundant calcite deposits, the city is accelerating the shift from raw resource advantage to industrial value. Two 1750-model intelligent, environmentally friendly Raymond mills, independently developed and manufactured by Nantong Liyuanheng Machinery Co., Ltd., have recently been installed at a calcite deep-processing enterprise in Sanming. Installation work is now fully underway, bringing solid equipment strength to help the region unlock higher value from its mineral resources.

Decades of Powder Equipment Expertise

Nantong Liyuanheng Machinery Co., Ltd. is based in the Haian National Economic and Technological Development Zone, at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta economic circle. As a national key high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, and EPC engineering, Liyuanheng has spent more than a decade focused on powder processing equipment, earning recognition as a designated national environmental protection production enterprise and a key protected brand for environmental technology innovation in China.

The company operates a 12,000-square-meter modern manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 40 sets of complete grinding equipment. Through extensive collaboration with universities and by drawing on advanced grinding technologies from Germany and Taiwan, Liyuanheng has developed the LYH998 series of intelligent environmental Raymond mills and large-scale grinding equipment such as the LYH1750. To date, the company holds more than 60 national patents, underscoring its position as an industry benchmark built on deep technical expertise.

The 1750 Raymond Mill: Built for Calcite

Calcite from the Sanming region is prized for its high whiteness and purity. The newly installed 1750 Raymond mill was engineered by Liyuanheng specifically for calcite and other medium-hardness materials, achieving a finished fineness of up to 400 mesh, matching the strict powder requirements of downstream applications such as plastic masterbatch, coating fillers, and construction material additives.

The equipment uses an integrated bevel gear drive system, delivering a compact structure, higher transmission efficiency, and significantly lower energy consumption. A high-precision turbine classification system improves powder selection accuracy and mesh-size consistency. The scraper blades are made from separately cast, highly wear-resistant alloy specifically for calcite grinding, with a curved design that directs material evenly across the upper, middle, and lower sections of the grinding roller and ring, balancing wear and extending service life. On the environmental side, a negative-pressure pulse bag dust collection system keeps the entire process fully enclosed with no dust escape, achieving true clean production.

Precision Installation, Built on Craftsmanship

Installation of the two 1750 Raymond mills followed a rigorous, standardized process, with attention to detail at every stage reflecting Liyuanheng's professional craftsmanship.

Foundation Work and Site Preparation

After arriving in Sanming, the installation team first verified the workshop dimensions and foundation elevation against the equipment foundation drawings to confirm sufficient installation space. The foundation was poured using high-grade reinforced concrete, with conduit and cable trenches embedded according to strict specifications. Installation proceeded only after adequate curing. On-site lifting equipment rated at 2 to 3 tons was prepared for handling large components.

Precise Positioning of the Drive Unit

The drive unit base was lowered precisely into the foundation pit and adjusted to the design elevation. A frame-type level was used for multi-point calibration to ensure the top surface met horizontal precision standards. The drive unit was then secured to its base, completing the initial setup of the power system.

Fine-Tuning the Main Unit and Coupling

Installing the main unit is the core step of the entire project. Before installation, rubber anti-vibration pads were placed at the contact points between the base and the concrete foundation and at the anchor bolt connections to isolate vibration transmission. A frame-type level was used to perform cross-point calibration on the base surface, ensuring both verticality and horizontal alignment of the main unit.

Fine-tuning the coupling is especially critical: the concentricity deviation between the two coupling halves was kept within 0.20 millimeters, end-face parallelism within 0.1 millimeters, and the end-face gap maintained between 5 and 8 millimeters, ensuring smooth and accurate power transmission.

Piping and Electrical Wiring

Piping was installed strictly according to the general layout, with all connections sealed and repeatedly tightened to eliminate air leaks. Electrical wiring was completed to standard, laying the groundwork for the trial run that followed.

System Commissioning and Acceptance

Before the no-load trial run, the grinding roller assembly was secured with steel wire rope clamps to prevent impact contact between the roller and ring. The main unit ran idle for at least one hour while bearing temperature rise and vibration levels were monitored. The blower was started under no load, then gradually loaded once running normally, with rolling bearing temperature and temperature rise kept strictly within specified limits. The load trial ran for more than eight hours, with no abnormal noise and no air leaks in any piping. After all fasteners were re-tightened, the equipment was officially confirmed ready for production.

Rooted in Central Fujian, Building the Road Ahead

From the coastal delta to the foothills of the Wuyi Mountains, the precise installation of these two 1750 Raymond mills reflects Liyuanheng's commitment to professional service. Looking ahead, Liyuanheng will continue to build on its philosophy of technology-driven growth and innovation, deepen its focus on ultra-fine powder processing equipment, and partner with more collaborators to advance the high-quality development of China's non-metallic mineral deep-processing industry.
